Our Search for the Next Chancellor of Rutgers University–Camden

Members of the Rutgers Community:

I am pleased to announce the search for a new chancellor for Rutgers University–Camden. I have appointed a search committee, co-chaired by Executive Vice President Prabhas Moghe and Professor Jane Siegel; the committee roster is listed below and is broadly inclusive of faculty, staff, and students from across Rutgers. 

The search committee’s first order of business will be to gather feedback from relevant communities to inform the position profile and how they will evaluate candidates for the position. The committee’s work will be supported by the search firm Storbeck Search & Associates.

Assisted by the firm, the search committee will cultivate, interview, and evaluate a pool of potential candidates for this critical senior leadership position and recommend a short list of finalists to me. The finalists will undergo additional review and ultimately the top candidate will be presented to the Board of Governors for approval. I intend to announce a new chancellor in the spring of 2021 to begin her or his tenure next summer. 

In the meantime, I want to applaud the outstanding work Margaret Marsh continues to perform as interim chancellor, her second time providing such leadership at a pivotal moment. Rutgers–Camden will remain in very capable hands as the search progresses.
