Notes of Appreciation for Chancellor Molloy and Interim Chancellor Marsh

Members of the Rutgers–New Brunswick Community,

On Chancellor Christopher Molloy’s final day in this leadership role before his return to the faculty, I wanted to publicly thank him for his dedication and service to Rutgers.

As many of you know, the chancellorship is the latest of several administrative leadership roles that Chris—a proud Rutgers alum—has played over the past 14 years, including dean, interim provost, interim chancellor, and senior vice president. Working alongside three Rutgers presidents, he has always served his alma mater with loyalty and honor.

Dr. Molloy has been committed to affording students the opportunities that Rutgers gave him, and I am grateful for his partnership over the past year. I know you join me in applauding him for all he has done for Rutgers and in wishing him well as he returns to the faculty.

Today, as Interim Chancellor Margaret Marsh serves her final hours in this role before returning to the faculty, I want to share a note of public admiration and gratitude.

I can’t thank Margaret enough for her constant willingness to serve the needs of the Rutgers community. Indeed, as I send this, she is wrapped up in yet another assignment she has taken on for the good of the university: chairing the search for the next Rutgers University Foundation president.

As we eagerly await Antonio D. Tillis’s official first day as chancellor tomorrow, I am proud to say that once again, Margaret Marsh has proved herself to be one of our university’s greatest citizens. Rutgers-Camden has been once again very well-served by her leadership over the past year, and I know you join me in thanking Dr. Marsh for her outstanding service.
