A Message to the Class of 2025

May 2025

Hello, graduates—or soon-to-be graduates—of the Class of 2025.

This is an exciting moment. Each of you have worked extremely hard and overcome plenty of challenges on your way to reaching a milestone that is now just days away.  And we’ve seen many of you already scouting out a favorite spot at Rutgers for a photo in your cap and gown.

We at Rutgers—faculty, staff, administrators, clinicians, alumni, board members, and of course your fellow students—join in celebrating your accomplishments in and outside the classroom, lab, studio, and clinical space.  You have earned this moment, and we’re excited for you.

Your time at Rutgers has contributed to our success and adds to the nearly 260-year history of this institution, one of the finest public universities in the nation.

As you prepare to receive your Rutgers degrees, know this: We are deeply proud of you, and I hope that in the years to come, Rutgers will always make you proud in return. 

I wish you tremendous success in your careers and in your lives, and I encourage you to put your talents to work in serving others and advancing the common good.  

I know you are well-prepared. You are Scarlet Forever. Congratulations, Rutgers Class of 2025!
