WHAT:

TV parties to watch the Rutgers womens basketball team play for the NCAA Division 1 national championship against the Tennessee Volunteers

WHEN:

The Scarlet Knights will face the University of Tennessee Tuesday, April 3, at 8:30 p.m., at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The game will air live on ESPN.

WHERE:

Students can view the game at a number of locations, including the Busch Campus Center Food Court, the Cook Campus Center Caf, Game Room and second floor lounge, the Douglass College Center Caf, the Livingston Student Center Rock Caf and the Rutgers Student Center Red Lion Caf.

BACKGROUND: Students who can answer a Rutgers womens basketball trivia question correctly upon entry will receive a free t-shirt provided by the athletic department. Free popcorn will be provided at student centers with popcorn machine capabilities. Individual vendors at each location have the option to offer food specials.

The Scarlet Knights are 27-8 on the season and will be making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA National Championship game. Rutgers coach C. Vivian Stringer led the Scarlet Knights to the NCAA Final Four in 2000, where they fell to Tennessee in the semifinals. Stringer is the only coach in NCAA history to lead three different teams to the Final Four, taking Rutgers twice (2007, 2000), Iowa (1993) and Cheyney State (1982).
