The Rutgers University Board of Governors and its Committee on Academic and Student Affairs has appointed Denise Hien, a leader in the field of post-traumatic stress and addictions, as inaugural holder to the Helen E. Chaney Chair in Alcohol Studies.
The new home for the Department of Chemistry and ChemicalBiology at Rutgers-New Brunswick provides expanded teaching, laboratory and support space. The four-story, 144,000-square-foot facility will help accelerate innovative work in biophysical chemistry related to human health, drug design and synthesis, alternative energy, biomaterials, nanotechnology and other fields.

Rutgers Board of Governors approved Jonathan Holloway to be the University's 21st president. Holloway will take over for current Rutgers President Robert Barchi on July 1st, 2020.
