Michael E. Zwick will be senior vice president for research at Rutgers University, effective Sept. 1, President Jonathan Holloway and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Prabhas Moghe announced.
President Jonathan Holloway announced that Francine Conway will be chancellor-provost of Rutgers University-New Brunswick, a new position that combines elements of the chancellor's portfolio with those of the provost's to establish a clear focus on academic excellence for students and faculty.
The new home for the Department of Chemistry and ChemicalBiology at Rutgers-New Brunswick provides expanded teaching, laboratory and support space. The four-story, 144,000-square-foot facility will help accelerate innovative work in biophysical chemistry related to human health, drug design and synthesis, alternative energy, biomaterials, nanotechnology and other fields.
