CAMDEN – A New Jersey political strategist will offer guidance to Rutgers–Camden students interested in becoming elected officials and understanding more about the political arena during a special lecture on Monday, May 3.
At 12:10 p.m. Democratic strategist Steve Ayscue, a 1993 Rutgers–Camden alumnus, will discuss how to have a successful career in government; how to understand the role politics plays in everyday life; and how students can get involved now. Ayscue will also talk about his experience as a Rutgers–Camden student and how his Rutgers education has shaped his career.
Listed on politckernj.com as one of the 100 most powerful political figures in the Garden State, Ayscue also serves as political analyst on the Comcast Network news show “It’s Your Call with Lynn Doyle.”
Sponsored by the Rutgers–Camden Democratic Club, the event will take place in the Multi-Purpose Room in the Campus Center, located on Third Street, between Cooper Street and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.
“The Rutgers–Camden Democrats are eager to host this special event, and to have one of the best political minds in the business speak about how to take your activism to new heights,” says Dave Spector, president of the Rutgers–Camden Democratic Club.
