Mark Hershhorn
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Mark P. Hershhorn, chair and CEO of CKS & Associates, a management consultancy firm in Upper Providence, Pa., was inducted today as a member of the Board of Governors of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Hershhorn recently completed a one-year term as chair of Rutgers’ Board of Trustees, to which he was elected in 2002. The Upper Providence resident remains a Charter Trustee through 2014. His term on the Board of Governors expires in 2016.

Hershhorn is a 1971 graduate of Rutgers College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1972. He began his career at the accounting and auditing firm of Price Waterhouse and has a background in the marketing and operations of nutrition systems, food industry marketing and transactional television. In addition to Price Waterhouse, Hershhorn has held positions with firms including Pfizer Diagnostics, Wallace and Wampole Laboratories, and the Franklin Mint, where he served as a director. From 1991 to 1997, Hershhorn was president and CEO of National Media Corp., a NYSE listed company. He also has been director of National Media Corp., MediaBay Inc. and Z-Trim Holdings Inc.

Hershhorn is a member of the Quill and Ledger Society, the Chair and Gavel Society, and the Rutgers University Foundation Board of Overseers. He has been chair of the Rutgers University Foundation Board of Overseers, the Executive Committee of the Rutgers University Scarlet R Club and the Rutgers University Annual Fund.
