WHAT: College Goal Sunday, a statewide event sponsored by the New Jersey Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NJASFAA) and New Jerseys Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) to offer financial aid guidance to prospective college students and their families. Group and individual sessions will be offered in English and Spanish.

WHEN: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 28
WHERE: Douglass College Center, George Street and Nichol Avenue, and six other sites in Camden, Jersey City, Long Branch, Newark, Paterson and Trenton
BACKGROUND: For the second year, the NJASFAA and HESAA are sponsoring College Goal Sunday, which is dedicated to providing low-income students and their families with assistance in filing financial aid forms. This year, the event has been expanded from five sites to seven, all on college campuses. Group sessions and one-on-one counseling will be offered in English and Spanish. The event is funded by a grant from the Lumina Foundation.
