In the fall, England, a Haddon Township High School graduate, became the first Scarlet Raptor to ever qualify for the NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country Championship. This spring, England captured her third New Jersey Athletic Conference outdoor title in as many seasons by winning the 5,000-meter run. She also added a second-place finish at 1,500 meters to lead the Scarlet Raptors at the NJAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
England holds Rutgers–Camden cross country records for the fastest times in the 5,000-meter and 6,000-meter distances, and she has been selected to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III All-Academic Cross Country Team three times. England has also received academic team honors from local and national publications.
Her dominant senior year continued in indoor track, where she set program marks in the 800 meters, the mile, the 3,000 meters, the 5,000 meters, and as a member of the 4x800-meter relay team. England holds four Rutgers–Camden records in outdoor track at 800 meters, 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters, and 10,000 meters, and her outdoor track career includes numerous all-conference honors.
“The accomplishments I've attained during my running career represent my ability to focus on my goals, but also my ability to drive myself to attempt feats I was not always sure I could accomplish,” she says. “My time at Rutgers–Camden has influenced my belief in my ability, both academically and athletically.”
A Dean’s List student who is a member of the Rutgers–Camden Honors College, England has served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is a math and economics tutor at Rutgers–Camden's Learning Center.
