Love in the Time of COVID
What’s sex and the city like in the time of COVID-19, especially if you are single and in your 50s? That’s the premise for And Just Like That…, the upcoming HBO Max revival of the Emmy Award-winning HBO series Sex and the City. Premiering in 1998 and running for six seasons, the show charted the travails of Charlotte, played by alumna Kristin Davis, and confidants Samantha, Carrie, and Miranda. The new 10-episode series will reflect the circumstances of the women’s lives, changed by the passage of time and the pandemic. Davis MGSA’87, a 2009 inductee of the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni, was nominated for several awards for her portrayal of the prim Charlotte. Production was scheduled to begin in New York in the spring.
