Excellence and Equity in Remote Learning: Approaches to Teaching Well in Remote Settings, with a Focus on Students with Disabilities

The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly disrupted K-12 education. Excellence and Equity in Remote Learning: A Summer Series for Educators is a collection of virtual workshops, offered by the Rutgers Graduate School of Education, on creating supportive, engaging and equitable learning experiences for students in this new environment.
This series highlights the reflections and expertise of a diverse set of educators, parents, community members and faculty as we, together, consider and plan for the new challenges we will face in the upcoming school year.

Session 4: Approaches to Teaching Well in Remote Settings, with a Focus on Students with Disabilities

Creating remote classrooms that are engaging and educational is a new challenge for educators. This session will describe approaches, tools and strategies that are relevant to all, but particularly helpful for supporting students with disabilities in remote settings.
