RSSI: Favour Ikedife, Making a Mindful Connection

Favour Ikedife, a junior in the Rutgers University-Newark Honors Living-Learning Community, was looking for an internship where she could utilize her neuroscience and behavior education to better herself and help others. Through the Rutgers Summer Service Internship Initiative, she worked at Act Now Foundation, a dementia resource center in Union City, N.J., supporting older adults take on daily challenges. Although the position took her out of her comfort zone, it delivered valuable perspective and a sense of fulfillment earned in service to others.
