CAMDEN – Too busy to commit to a full-length stage production? The Rutgers University—Camden’s Ten-Minute Play Festival is a good fit for theater lovers in a hurry, and on a budget.

At 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3; 8 p.m. Dec. 4; and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, student directors and actors will present free performances of Jane Martin’s “Beauty”; Carole Real’s “The Battle of Bull Run Always Makes Me Cry”; Jose Rivera’s “Tape”; Mary Sue Price’s “That Midnight Rodeo”; and David Ives’ “The Philadelphia.”

From comedies to dramas, the free festival will showcase works that address diverse issues including salvation, dating, and desire. With a running time of under an hour for all five performances, student director Angela Harmon calls the festival “really fast theater!”

Student directors include Mike Fisher; Angela Harmon; Theo Langason; and Moe Copeland. Student actors include Aimee Bornfreund; Micaela Cannon; Michael Flores; Mike Gallone; Jake Hufner; Kearstie Kaspar; Nathan Kusisto; Rich Lanci; Nicholas Maraia; Krys Marotta; Yegide Matthews; Tom Milicia; Troi Nichols; Brittany Robinson; Samantha Rucker; Tamisha Shepherd; and Callan Wright.
