Rutgers EMBA alumni ranked number two globally for career progress gains

NEWARK, NJ – For the second consecutive year, Rutgers Business School is ranked highly in the Financial Times' global ranking of the world’s best Executive MBA (EMBA) programs, published today.

Rutgers Business School is ranked number two worldwide in the category of Career Progress, which is calculated according to changes in the level of seniority and the size of the company alumni are working in now versus before receiving their EMBA degree.

Among EMBA programs offered by U.S. public universities, Rutgers Business School weighs in at number three.

Out of 96 EMBA programs which the Financial Times named as the best worldwide, Rutgers Business School is ranked at #37 in the world, placing it in the company of programs such as those offered by Cornell University (#33) and Georgetown University (#35).

Referencing a recently published Wall Street Journal Executive MBA ranking, Rutgers Business School Dean Dr. Michael R. Cooper remarked, "This is the second time this month that a major media outlet has recognized Rutgers as a top business school.” He continued, “The Financial Times ranking is truly rewarding because it once again recognizes the enormous success of our alumni in the workforce—which is a reflection of the exceptional quality of our faculty, the strength of our corporate partnerships, and ultimately the real-world relevancy of what our students are gaining here at Rutgers Business School: cutting-edge, multidisciplinary, global business skills and knowledge demanded by world-leading companies.”

Said Rutgers Business School Executive MBA program director Professor Farrokh K. Langdana, who is also a distinguished macroeconomist, “The Rutgers EMBA program's high rankings stem from three sources: one, the relentless adherence to Rutgers Business School’s mission to rapidly change the content of our courses as the world changes, and our commitment to placing only superstar professors in the classroom; two, to enrollment  of an exceptionally motivated and diverse body of Executive MBA students; and three, the presence of a dedicated staff that understands the pressures that the EMBAs are under and attends to all the administrative details.”
