To the Campus Community:

This Wednesday, Sept. 19, our campus will celebrate the opening of 330 Cooper Street, the new student residence facility at Rutgers–Camden.

I invite you to participate in the festivities at the front of 330 Cooper Street starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday, when our state and local leaders will join President Robert L. Barchi and the Rutgers–Camden community in celebrating the opening of this striking 12-story, $55 million building that provides a state-of-the-art home for 350 students.

Moreover, the facility soon will welcome three retailers to its main level.  7-Eleven, Subway, and Three Chiles Grill will serve our campus and our city.

This extraordinary new building boasts interiors that are comfortable and bright, and a scarlet “spirit R” emblazoned on the upper level that gives notice to the Delaware Valley that Rutgers–Camden is on the rise.

The opening of this new student housing site – the first on our campus in approximately 25 years – is a clear indicator of Rutgers–Camden’s upward trajectory.  Tours of the building, as well as food and beverage, will be offered after the dedication ceremony.

I look forward to sharing in the celebration with you on Wednesday.
