The Board of Governors approved a new facility for the Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services, allowing for expansion of the program which provides employment opportunities and other services. The board also confirmed scholar Dorothy Roberts as the 2019 Rutgers-Newark Commencement speaker and awarded the William P. Alston Chair for the Philosophy of Religion to Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences professor Brian Leftow.

Christopher J. Molloy is appointed chancellor of Rutgers University-New Brunswick after having served since July as interim chancellor. "Dr. Molloy has expressed a vision that will increase Rutgers-New Brunswick's public prominence, provide a clear financial plan and expand internships and related opportunities for students," President Robert L.
