Victor Lavalle

Writers at Rutgers is an exchange between well-known writers of diverse backgrounds and university students and faculty. This free event includes an author reading, Q&A session, book sale and signing, and catered reception. Register for free parking here.

Victor LaValle is the author of five novels, two novellas, a short story collection, and is the creator and writer of two comic books. His novel, The Changeling, will soon be airing on AppleTV+ starring LaKeith Stanfield. LaValle currently teaches at Columbia University and has been the recipient of numerous awards. Raised in Queens, New York, LaValle now lives in the Bronx with his wife, writer Emily Raboteau, and their children.
