In March 2020, Rutgers’ Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases founded the Center for COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness. In this webinar, William Gause, David Alland, and leading scientists at the center will describe how they are leveraging Rutgers’ extensive expertise in global pathogens and its world-class biocontainment facilities into a leading center to fight COVID-19 and prepare for future pandemics.

Presenters include:

  • William C. Gause, Ph.D., senior associate dean for research; director, Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases; and university professor of medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
  • David Alland, M.D., professor of medicine and chief of infectious disease at New Jersey Medical School, and director of the Rutgers Regional Biocontainment Laboratories, the Public Health Research Institute, and the Center for COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness
  • Shobha Swaminathan, M.D., associate professor of medicine, New Jersey Medical School
  • Amariliz Rivera GSBS’00, Ph.D., associate professor of pediatrics, New Jersey Medical School
