About Rutgers Magazine

Rutgers Magazine—which celebrates the research, teaching, and service mission of Rutgers as well as the achievements of its alumni—is published twice a year, in January and June, by the Department of University Communications and Marketing and the Rutgers University Alumni Association at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. It is distributed to alumni and friends of the university, and the contents are available online.

The magazine began in 1914 as Rutgers Alumni Quarterly and became Rutgers Monthly in 1921 and Rutgers Alumni Magazine in 1969. In 1987, the Department of University Relations began publishing Rutgers Magazine. An archive of past issues of Rutgers Magazine is available going back to 2010.
