Seventy-five years ago, the University of Newark officially became part of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Since then, Rutgers University–Newark has grown to become an anchor institution driving innovation, economic prosperity, and social mobility for diverse new generations of change makers. Rutgers–Newark will celebrate this milestone with a series of events and alumni profiles highlighting its legacy, strengths, and future.

Rutgers–Newark School of Criminal Justice alumni, faculty, and staff will discuss the impact the university has had on the city of Newark and its pathway forward in the areas of community, racial justice, and social justice.
