Press briefing on the latest Rutgers-Eagleton Poll

WHO:

Murray Edelman, distinguished scholar, Eagleton Institute of Politics, and Tim Vercellotti, assistant director, Rutgers-Eagleton Poll, Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, will discuss the latest poll on the U.S. Senate race between Republican Tom Kean Jr. and Democrat Robert Menendez.

BACKGROUND: How important is the Kean family name to the U.S. Senate candidacy of Tom Kean Jr.? How much of a premium do voters place on previous experience in public office? Which of the two major political parties is perceived to have a greater problem with public corruption at the national and state levels, and how do those perceptions affect the race? The Rutgers-Eagleton Poll will present the latest survey results in the race for U.S. Senate and will place those results in context using the polls incomparable 35-year archive of New Jersey poll data.
