The School of Criminal Justice–Newark is interdisciplinary in structure, since no traditional discipline covers the entire spectrum of expertise required. A center for scholarly research on all aspects of criminology, the school is also a practical resource for criminal justice agencies. A broad range of courses prepares students for careers in research, teaching, and criminal justice system management and policymaking.
