Executive Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences

The executive dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, reporting to the chancellor of Rutgers–New Brunswick, serves as the senior academic and administrative officer of Rutgers’ leading and largest academic unit. The school, created in 2006 through the consolidation of four separate undergraduate colleges and their merger with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, offers more than 70 majors and minors and more than 30 graduate degree and certificate programs. Twenty departments within the school are ranked in the top 40 nationwide. The executive dean will play a key intellectual leadership role in developing strong academic and research programs and will lead efforts to augment the school’s resources strategically.
