Rutgers University–New Brunswick seeks an accomplished academic leader to serve as its next Chancellor. Reporting to the President, the new Chancellor will provide the strategic direction and oversee the daily operations of Rutgers University–New Brunswick. The availability of this position at a point in time almost three years into the implementation of our most recent Universitywide Strategic Plan, and two years into the execution of the Rutgers–New Brunswick Strategic Plan, provides a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to be the catalyst for significant positive change at the flagship campus of a prestigious public research university.

Rutgers University–New Brunswick comprises twelve degree-granting schools, nine research centers, multiple administrative units, and an art museum. Currently enrolling nearly 42,000 students, of which over 16,000 reside on-campus, with almost 9,500 full- and part-time faculty and staff, Rutgers–New Brunswick is spread over five campuses, encompassing 2,688 acres and including 640 buildings. The new Chancellor of Rutgers–New Brunswick will begin serving the University just after the celebration of its 250th year of existence and will undertake the challenges of a premier research institution, inspiring its continued evolution into its next quarter-millennia.
