Information for Current Students

H1N1 Influenza (Swine Flu)

Most confirmed cases of H1N1 Influenza in the United States have been mild, and the majority of patients have recovered without requiring any medical treatment.

The university is monitoring the situation and, while Rutgers has currently made no changes to university operations or activities, it is working with local and state authorities to plan for a coordinated approach to managing the disease and is prepared to respond to a health emergency. Learning through Internships

Rutgers’ location at the heart of the East Coast makes it a great place to find terrific internships.

Courtney PrestonRutgers–Camden senior Courtney Preston, for example, spent the summer as an intern at the Philadelphia Zoo, helping to promote the 150th anniversary of the nation’s first zoo. Among other tasks, the English major helped feed a giraffe for a TV station’s on-site weather report and helped develop a public relations plan for a community relations effort tied to the zoo’s commemorative year.

In addition to applying for opportunities through schools and academic departments, you can find internships in venues as varied as Walt Disney World, Saturday Night Live, and the FBI through campus career centers.

Replace ID Cards

It's your pass to so much: entrance to buildings and facilities; access to libraries, computer labs, and recreation centers; and a way to pay for meals and books and get discounts on events. So if your student ID card goes missing, you may feel a bit lost yourself. Instead of panicking, get a replacement.
