Chancellor of the Rutgers–Camden Campus

The Rutgers–Camden chancellor is the chief executive officer of the campus, overseeing four academic units (the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Law, and the School of Nursing) awarding degrees on the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels; a community of 6,500 students, 311 tenured/tenure-track/clinical faculty, 491 full-time staff, and 1,300 total employees; an alumni base of 43,000; and an annual budget of over $70 million. The chancellor reports to the president of Rutgers University and is a member of the University Adminstrative Council and the university’s leadership team.

The chancellor also serves as the principal spokesperson for the campus and the university in southern New Jersey and greater Philadelphia. He or she plays a pivotal role in the revitalization of Camden and is an important partner with other institutions and businesses in promoting the economic, social, and cultural development of the fastest-growing region in New Jersey.
