Chancellor for Biomedical and Health Sciences

The Chancellor for Biomedical and Health Sciences is a new position created as part of the integration of Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Beginning on July 1, 2013, the Chancellor will manage Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, a unit composed of more than 2,600 faculty members and approximately 6,500 students, with facilities in both Newark and New Brunswick/Piscataway. The Chancellor, reporting directly to the University President, will oversee seven UMDNJ schools (New Jersey Medical School, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey Dental School, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, School of Health Related Professions, School of Nursing, and School of Public Health) and University Behavioral HealthCare, and Rutgers units including Rutgers College of Nursing, the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, and the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research.
